Relational Psychotherapy

$150/50 minute session

My therapy practice is relational. If you’ve found yourself repeating the same patterns, much to your own frustration, you might benefit from working with a relational therapist such as myself. I view the therapeutic relationship as an important tool for insight and growth. Clients often hear me say that if they are struggling to express a “challenging” emotion such as anger in their personal life, they are more then welcome (and likely to!) express it with me. In sessions with me, we will be processing more than just the content of your day-to-day life; we will explore the way our dynamic makes you feel and the way this might be used to change unhelpful coping skills and patterns.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

$150/50 minute session $250/90 minute session

Avoidance is an amazing tool of the human mind and an incredibly common response to trauma and subsequent PTSD. Unfortunately, avoidance rarely works. If you find that your attempts to push away traumatic memories and triggers are no longer working, you may consider prolonged exposure therapy (PE).

PE is an evidence-based treatment in which clients re-tell the story of one traumatic event at a time until the memories no longer cause the body and mind to engage the fight/flight/freeze/fawn response. Clients also identify activities in their daily lives that they no longer participate in due to trauma and gradually reintroduce these activities into their lives.

Sex Therapy

$150/50 minute session

I welcome those who are looking for relief from sexual pain and trauma as well as those looking for a supported space to explore new relational and sexual dynamics. Sex therapy involves gentle exploration of your own sexual desires and dynamics (including those who have no sexual desire and no interest in changing that) to increase your sense of safety and pleasure. I especially enjoy supporting disabled and trans people in their journey of re-defining what sex means to them outside of systemic norms. I am a graduate of Widener University’s sex therapy program and hold a Master of Human Sexuality Education as well as a Master of Social Work.
